Jesus was rejected by his disciples, by his people, and by the Roman soldiers and officials.<\/p>\n<p>The scenes in this chapter were surreal &#8211; the accusing were frantic and confrontational; the accused was calm and rational.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;&#8230;, he was led like a lamb to the slaughter&#8230;&#8217; (Isa 53:7b)<br \/>\nJesus, the Lamb of God.<\/p>\n<p>He came to die; He came to save.<br \/>\nIf we are on the side of truth, we ought to listen to Jesus. The incomprehensible love should overcome us and make us confess and regret for our sin &#8211; we were no better than the Jews nor Gentiles &#8211; all men fall short of the glory of God and are destined to perish.<br \/>\nIf we are on the side of truth, we should recognize that there is no other name we would be saved from the wrath, only by Jesus&#8217; redemption.<br \/>\nIf we are on the side of truth, we should follow Him and walk in His path&#8230; Lord, help us to understand how limited we are and how great you are, help us to remain in you and stay on the side of truth, your side.
